The collection follows a deflationary model, which means that its supply will continue to decline as the chunk of the marketplace royalties will go to the burning of NFTs.
Skellies Backstory
Skellies once lived in a peaceful society called Skullingham, in which conflict didn’t exist and where everyone was contributing to the further development of their world.
But this peaceful world has crumbled down when a greedy creature named Grimm has kidnapped numerous Skellies to create his army of Reapers.
Skellies have noticed the massive disappearances of their kind, and instead of searching for outside culprits, the skeletal creatures turned against each other, which ended the peace in their world.
Grimm NFTs
On top of the original 3,333 Skellies, it has now been added with 777 Grim NFTs, and these two types of NFTs, when combined, would form a Hybrid NFT equipped with fused characteristics.
Royalties
When it comes to royalties, SSS says no to double digits, and as a proof, it only allocates 3% of its entire profits for its team, 3% for Grimm, and 2% for its DAO and other projects, which only totals 8%.
Spreading the NEAR Gospel
When the SSS team launched its NFT collection, it wanted to court not only the NEAR natives but also the ones outside the ecosystem who aren’t yet familiar with the protocol.
With this goal, the first thing it did was to launch a Discord channel that softly introduces NEAR to non-natives and clearly explains the protocol’s benefits, advantages, mechanism, and functionalities.
The team wants these information to be as accessible as possible to clearly communicate the benefits of the NEAR blockchain, which would also be beneficial to the SSS collection.
Utopia (UTO) TOken
UTO, Secret Skellies Society’s utility token, has a maximum supply of 30 million, and a large percentage of it is distributed to the public through liquidity pools and collections.
The token, which was launched with an initial liquidity pool of 10,000 NEAR, would be airdropped daily to Skellies and Grimm’s holders.
It would also play a big role in creating the 3rd generation of SSS NFTs, giving the community and the holders a fresh set of assets to have.
