Aurory is a Solana-powered turn-based tactical RPG desktop game with PvE and PvP modes, NFT collectibles, and multi-utility tokens.

How many blockchain games have come to the space with a strong start, gaining so much popularity, excitement, and users, only to gradually fall and drag down gamers with them? Too many to count. And some users consider this a soft rug, but the reality is that it’s truly challenging for projects to withstand the test of time and provide an entertaining game that offers sustainable income for players.

Background

The Aurory team is composed of an art director, CTO, technical designer, front-end lead, blockchain engineer, gameplay programmer, UIX designer, 3D artists, and other crucial team members.

The team’s main goal is to set a standard for blockchain games, higher than what most play-to-earn games currently offer, to bring more benefits to the players.

What is Aurory?

Aurory is a Solana-powered turn-based tactical RPG desktop game with PvE and PvP modes, non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles, and multi-utility tokens.

The game introduces players to the two worlds of Antik and Cryptos and the magical creatures NPCs and Nefties.

Like any P2E game, players can catch, play and trade NFT creatures to increase their ranking and profits in the game.

It was inspired by the elements and successful gameplays of top-rated games, including Pokemon, League of Legends, Magic the Gathering, and Advanced Wars.

AURY Token and Staking

AURY Token is the platform’s in-game currency which players can acquire through Raydium and FTX.

To stake AURY tokens, platform users first need an SPL-compatible wallet like Solflare and Phantom.

They also need to have a minimum of 0.1 SOL in their wallets to cover the cost of transaction fees in staking.

To start staking, go to Aurory’s staking section, which will also show critical information, including pool info and rewards on flexible and locked pools and the staker’s balance.

Nefties

Nefties are the main characters in the game, but they are “incomplete” creatures who only show themselves to worthy humans, in which they also give special powers.

These creatures are always prepared for combat with other trainers to gain more powers and improve their rankings in the game.

Nefties have different species with unique abilities and strengths, including defense, brute force, manipulation, support, and even sabotage.

These abilities give players many options in creating strategies in defeating their enemies in the most damaging manner possible.

The possible Nefties combination in a team is limitless, and it’s up to the players how they can use their captured creatures to the fullest.

Antik

Antik is the world where Nefties live, filled with “antiques” or relics and important artifacts that players need to discover.

Battle System

A player with a team of 3 Nefties must compete and defeat his opponent through a turn-based tactical battle.

Each battle aims to eliminate all 3 Nefties, and the first one to achieve this will win and gain rewards.

The key to winning each battle is to make the best strategies out of the Nefties’ different abilities and skills.

The characters’ powerful abilities will turn useless if players cannot strategically use these powers based on their opponents capabilities.

Also, Nefties’ abilities will continue to evolve and become powerful every time players use their powers against enemies.

This progressing ability will further increase the players’ chances of defeating their enemies and give them a wider room to form new strategies.

Thinking of the best 3 Nefty combinations that can provide the biggest blow and best chain reaction is one of the top things players should focus on to win a game.

Player vs. Environment Mode (PvE)

Aurory’s PvE lets players acquire their first Nefty and Guardian for free and explore how the Antik world works.

This mode allows players to get familiar with the game, explore its many locations and gain confidence before playing the PvP mode.

Another great thing about the game’s PvE is that it’s always evolving, meaning players can expect new offerings from the developer.

New Nefties, Guardians, episodic adventure, characters, and quests will gradually appear in the PvE mode, giving players a continuous and exciting experience.

Player vs. Player (PvP)

Once players have formed their ideal Nefties team, they can now compete with other teams all over the globe.

They can compete in any chosen battles, including ranked tournaments, friendly duels, and game modes. Trainers can also participate in ‘Special Modes,’ which will be revealed soon by Aurory’s team.

The battle starts by having a ‘draft system’ that helps players anticipate their enemies’ strategies to form an effective counterattack.

Players’ chances of winning can also increase by changing the orders of their Nefties, which will give them an ideal order of attacks.

Tournaments and Championships

Before players can participate in tournaments, they are required to stake AURY tokens, which will benefit not only the platform but also the players themselves.

Staking AURY tokens will help the platform’s operations and provide players with additional profits, on top of the rewards they will get from tournaments and championships.

High-ranking players from monthly tournaments will be tiered based on the games they’ve played and the skill level they’ve acquired.

For veteran players, they can also join in Special Elite Arenas for high-level challenges and bigger rewards.

The Aurory Championship Tour

The game’s championship tour is a rich source of rewards, rare items, and the most interesting of all, huge cash prizes!

But there’s a huge catch: If players’ Nefty lose in one of the battles here; it is literally gone, regardless of how long they’ve developed and how much they’ve invested in it.

The permanent elimination of Nefties might be heartbreaking but actually good for the overall ecosystem.

Nefty eliminations give much-needed space for new players to compete and have a fair opportunity to go their way up.

Golden Ticket Needed To Enter Aurory Championship

Aurory requires players to have a ‘Golden Ticket’ before they can participate in the Aurory Championship.

This ticket can be acquired in two ways: First, by simply being lucky to be rewarded with a golden ticket, and second, being one of the top players in ongoing tournaments.

A Golden ticket can also be a source of additional income for players as they can sell them to other players as well.

DAOrory: Aurory’s Very Own DAO

The Aurory team will soon launch a decentralized autonomous organization with a goal of forming a treasury, collectively owned by Aurory NFT holders, that will fund Solana NFT projects.

DAOrory’s other goal is to become one of Solana’s largest and most secure platforms for art collectors.

The organization will get a 10% of the initial sale proceeds, which is equivalent to 1000 SOL. Meanwhile, 1.75% of the royalty fee from Aurorians sales will permanently be funneled on DAOrory in the long term.

And since it’s a DAO, important decisions will heavily depend on the majority of NFT holders, ensuring fairness and transparency in the organization’s transactions.

Roadmap

  • Launch of AURY Token on major crypto exchanges
  • Release of Aurory’s mobile version
  • Release of updates in the game.
  • Launch of social events

Aurory’s near-future plans are quite short but highly crucial in expanding its presence not only in the virtual world but also in the real world.

Conclusion

Aurory is a promising blockchain game with an interesting concept and gameplay, tokens, staking, and DAO plans, proving that it’s a project with a long-term plan.

But it might be challenging for the game to separate itself from the competition as it follows the ‘template’ that most play-to-earn games use today.

It will certainly be hard for Aurory to compete with other games without novelty or more beneficial offerings and incentives.
