Shadowy Super Coder is a Solana-based NFT collection of 10,000 cool-looking coders with major accessories including outfit, tabletop, background, and monitor screens.

The blockchain industry is the worst place not to innovate, with every firm always looking for competitors to pounce at in order to get a larger slice of the market. With this cutthroat environment, every firm must be willing to improve, never be afraid to explore outside its traditional business, and be willing to expand its services to stay relevant and competitive.

Background

GenesysGO is composed of members with backgrounds in distributed data systems, the creation of Linux terminals, geographic information systems, business leadership, traditional finance, and quantitative trading. These diversified experiences have provided GenesysGO with more than enough talent pool to create innovative solutions for the blockchain industry.

Before we move on to Shadowy Super Coders, it’s important to understand the business its founding company are in.

What is GenesysGO?

GenesysGO is a Solana-exclusive blockchain infrastructure company that operates Remote Procedure Call (RPC) servers to aid Solana validators.

It aims to aid developers in creating and scaling Solana projects by providing them with Mainnet RPC resources and affordable developer support.

What are Remote Procedure Call (RPC) servers?

RPC servers are one of the most important components of the Solana blockchain because they are responsible for controlling the traffic for the validator network.

These servers protect validators from experiencing overloading by spreading incoming loads to various validators, which increases the speed and efficiency of the Solana blockchain.

Expanding Its Abilities

GenesysGO was previously focused solely on hardware, particularly on servers, but it eventually realized that massive opportunities exist outside its traditional business, waiting to be tapped.

In its desire to test the expertise of both its hardware, as well as its software developers, it has launched its own IDO platform.

Through its expanded service, GenesysGO has also increased its token’s utility, making it more valuable and attractive to investors. Both the platform’s IDO and token will be discussed in detail later.

By venturing into both hardware and software services, the protocol is set to make a larger impact on Solana and the entire blockchain industry.

What is Shadowy Super Coder (SSC)?

Shadowy Super Coder is a Solana-based NFT collection of 10,000 cool-looking coders with major parts including outfit, tabletop, background, and monitor screens.

It has successfully minted its entire 10,000 NFT collection in less than 9 hours at a price of 2.5 SOL per piece.

Since the collection is powered by GenesysGO, which handles RPC operations, each NFT holder had the privilege to tap the protocol’s RPS and unlimited data.

Why ‘Shadowy Super Coders’?

The term ‘Shadowy Super Coders’ came from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, a known crypto skeptic, who asked the U.S Treasury to tighten regulations on the fast-expanding crypto industry.

“Instead of leaving our financial system at the whims of giant banks, crypto puts the system at the whims of some shadowy, faceless group of super coders and miners.” Senator Warren said in a previous Senate Banking Committee hearing.

The ‘shadowy super coders’ term turned out to be a cool name and became an inspiration for GeneysGO’s NFT collection.

Why SSC Never Dropped In Price After Mint

A lot in the NFT community has predicted that after the SSC mint, its price would quickly drop, like the usual scenario with most collections. But the surprising thing is, it didn’t happen, not because of luck, but because of well-thought-out implementations behind the mint.

The team didn’t provide any giveaways on both NFT enthusiasts and influencers. There were no team and treasury allocations, and never provided tokens for venture capitalists.

These were a series of “untraditional” decisions that paid off well because of the clear results that they have produced after the minting event.

GenesysGO IDO Platform

GenesysGO’s IDO platform is Solana’s first-ever IDO that is powered by a decentralized RPC network. Its user interface is designed to seamlessly guide users in making pools, transferring funds, and choosing preferred crypto wallets.

The entire transaction is completely automated as everything is audited by smart contracts built in Anchor protocol, a decentralized money market.

IDO participants will be required to deposit a token called SHDW Token equivalent to $15,000 USDC, which will be sent directly to the ‘Shadow Operator’ emission wallet. Shadow Operators are independent server operators and are part of GenesysGO’s decentralized RPC network. They provide efficiency to the decentralized RPC network that manages 50% of the Solana blockchain’s entire traffic.

GenesysGO IDO Process

1 Choose a preferred IDO type, which includes a Dutch or traditional type, and select a floor price for the project’s token.

2. Make an IDO pool and token pairs and instruct the platform to implement the preferred wallets that will be used for the IDO, like a Treasury Wallet or an IDO Wallet.

3. Set the preferred day and time of the auction and the length of the auction’s different phases.

4. Once everything has been set, participants can finally market their IDO. The platform wants to make it clear that it won’t endorse any users’ IDO to maintain the neutrality, integrity, and fairness of its team and system.

5. Once the IDO is up and running, users must use the platform’s UI to collect IDO funds and move them to the type of wallet they’ve chosen.

SHDW Tokens

The SHDW Token, which was mentioned earlier, is GenesysGO’s multi-use case token with a total supply of 10 million.

SHDW tokens are required in IDO participation because they would fund the emissions that will incentivize the platform’s Shadow Operators. The collected SHDW tokens are sent to the SHDW emission wallet, then to the pool that is meant to pay the operators for their critical tasks.

To gradually decrease the circulating supply of SHDW tokens, the system is designed to allow the tokens to go into the pool to overtake the emissions coming out from it.

Why Is SHDW Token Requirement So High?

GenesysGO’s main goal in its IDO platform is to provide real assistance to its participants and eliminate the traditional problems encountered by other IDO platforms, including IDOs that slows down the Solana network because of their bots and highly centralized systems that form high entry barrier on projects.

The team believes that $15,000 USDC worth of SHDW tokens is a fair amount that would allow projects to have a competitive investment in their venture.

Requiring this amount would also separate serious projects from “trashy” ones and would enable the platform to roll out worthy projects on Solana.

Also, project members’ ability to raise this amount for an IDO would also test their readiness in this venture.

After all, IDO is a complex undertaking, much more complicated than an NFT launch, and projects that fail to raise this amount say a lot about their ability to manage an IDO venture.

SEED Token

SSC holders had the privilege of receiving 10,000 GenesysGO tokens on every NFT they have purchased, meaning having 2 SSCs also means having 20,000 tokens in their wallets. These generous rewards were tapped from the platform’s ”Seed Token” allocation meant to reward early backers of a project through discounted tokens.

Seed tokens are meant to be sold to early project supporters 5x cheaper than their public price, giving them 5x gains on their tokens/

Conclusion

GenesysGO already has impressive RPC services for the Solana blockchain, but it became bold enough to expand on other ventures such as creating an IDO platform, launching a token, as well as an NFT collection. And the amazing thing is, it became successful on all these ventures, thanks to its non-traditional yet innovative methods and solutions, which the blockchain industry really needs amid a cesspool of low quality projects.
