Cardano has announced its Virtual Summit set for the 2nd and 3rd of July. The event is in celebration of their Shelley upgrade, whose roadmap was also recently revealed
A signup notice was released today and the event promises talks and lectures on a range of topics, such as the Science of Blockchain, Blockchain and Business, highlighting solutions; Building the Cardano Community; Governance & Regulation for Blockchain as well as discussing The Cardano Governance model and much more.
Some speakers have already been announced for the event. These include Stephen Wolfram, inventor and founder of Wolfram Research, creator of Wolfram|Alpha, the Wolfram Language and Mathematica, and the author of A New Kind of Science.
Another huge name earmarked for the talk is Vinton G. Cerf. This man is known as the “Father of the Internet” after being behind the huge advancements in internet technology. Cerf is the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet and has been a leading figure within the industry since.
The virtual summit comes around the intended launch for Shelley. “The Shelley era has arrived,” Cardano and its founder Charles Hoskinson proclaimed. The team firmly believe that the Cardano blockchain can be revolutionary and will be “for the betterment of everyone, everywhere.” Shelley is a huge piece in the puzzle.
For that reason, Cardano is in a celebratory mood. “It’s a time of celebration, reflection and looking forward – for the entire Cardano community,” their announcement said. Their ADA token rose 60% this week, to add to the jubilant times.
