Wang Haichao is set to assume the head office of one of the biggest blockchain companies and the most influential mining brands in the world, Bitmain, following the revelation in an open letter on Tuesday.

Haichao is taking over from Jihan Wu and Zhan, who both founded the company and are now taking a more backseat role in proceedings. It would appear that the CEO was an appointment from within and that Haichao was a standout performer. According to the data, before becoming CEO, Haichao served as director of product engineering for 1 year and 10 months in Bitmain. Haichao said in his resume that he reports directly to the CEO.

The achievements don’t stop there, he established the Product Engineering Department, once led the team to increase the (chip) production by nearly 10 times in half a year. In 2018, he also won the “CEO Award” twice for his outstanding performance.

According to previous reports from the South China Morning Post, he graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
