Bybit Games Teams Up With Save the Children for Trading Contest

0

Bybit, the customer-focused crypto exchange, is teaming up with global humanitarian organization Save the Children for its annual Bybit Games contest.

This year’s contest, dubbed the BTC Brawl, will see traders competing for a share of a 100 BTC maximum prize pool, valued at around $800,000. The contest registrations started on November 18 and will run from November 28 until December 13, 2019.

Save the Children will receive a donation from Bybit equal to five percent of the prize pool, estimated to total between one and five BTC, to aid in its efforts to ensure every child gets a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and is protected from harm.

Ettore Rossetti, Save the Children’s global digital lead, welcomed the collaboration.

“Save the Children is excited and grateful to work with Bybit in this new endeavor,” said Rossetti.

“Crypto-philanthropy is an exciting and new frontier of giving. Thanks to Bybit and Bybit customers, we will be able to further our ambition in reaching the most marginalized children around the world.”

Customer first

Bybit’s philosophy is to put its customers at the heart of everything it does, and the team believes every business and exchange has an obligation to help organizations like Save the Children to benefit from the interest in trading and cryptocurrencies.

Ben Zhou, CEO and co-founder of the exchange, is acutely aware of the problems that exist within the cryptocurrency and trading space and decided to launch Bybit to correct this imbalance, putting traders – Bybit’s customers – at the center of everything they do.

He hopes that working with Save the Children will encourage other businesses within the digital asset and trading space to follow and commit to working with charities on a regular basis.

“We are working to make Bybit Games a series of recurring events, and this partnership with Save the Children will certainly see us working with them again in the future.” he said.

“In business, as with everything, it is important to always give something back. Save the Children is engaged in vital work around the world, and anything that we can do to help support that is important – a view we believe our customers share.”

More than 5,000 traders have so far signed up to the BTC Brawl event, with each of them competing to win their share of the 100 BTC prize fund.

BTC Brawl follows hot on the heels of the successful Korea Competition, which was held earlier this year, and which saw 1,636 traders signs up for their chance to win cryptocurrencies through the exchange.

On top of the prize pool, anyone signing up for the BTC Brawl can benefit from a 20 percent discount on taker fees, plus a $50 bonus for taking part in the contest.
