Hyperledger, a partnership across industries created to improve blockchain technology, has announced the introduction of Hyperledger Iroha 1.0. which is the fourth dynamic Hyperledger project to get to 1.0 after Hyperledger Indy, Hyperledger Sawtooth and Hyperledger Fabric.
As a distributed ledger project, Iroha targets to offer a development environment where mobile application and C++ developers can contribute to Hyperledger.
The new Hyperledger features include (Experimental) windows support as the ledger is natively running on Windows, MacOS and Linus environments. Another feature is the YAC Consensus that guarantees the safety of the ledger regardless of some untrustworthy or faulty nodes.
Furthermore, it has updated client libraries with a writing application support on various platforms from mainframe to mobile through varying programming languages such as iOS, Python, JS, and Java. Also, it includes a complete Operational Multisignature, an alternative for transactions when the application requires multiple signatures to settle payments.
Hyperledger Executive Director, Brian Behlendorf, said:

When commenting on the release of the Hyperldger Iroha 1.0 Soramitsu CEO, Makoto Takemiya, noted that it is a crucial milestone for the enterprise blockchain space and the vibrant community. As a critical contributor to the project, he added, he was excited to see the Hyperledger Iroha team get to this milestone and further to grow upon the expansive DLT ecosystem advancing under the Hyperledger greenhouse.

Hyperledger Iroha enhances other Hyperledger projects by offering a different design solution for mobile-based use scenarios in identity and finance management.
