Mini Royale: Nations is a community-owned skill-based shooter game that follows a social strategy concept with clans, alliances, and social mechanics.

Games can be a source of fun, but it does not mean it is always easy. It can be challenging, but this is where friendship and teamwork develop. Gamers may have been nostalgic about yesterday’s simple games, but today’s technological evolution holds a more promising experience.

Additionally, a gamer’s experience should never be limited but expanded. The combination of two worlds, gaming and non-fungible token (NFT), opened the way for fun and opportunities to meet. Things have become more exciting with the first live multiplayer game on Solana—Mini Royale: Nations.

Background

Faraway is the team behind the development of Mini Royale: Nations, comprised of Alex Paley and Dennis Zdonov as the co-founders and other 40 members. Each shares different expertise, enabling the team to build other successful games and tech products with world-class companies.

With years of experience in the gaming industry, Faraway’s mission is to create player-driven universes that could bring anyone opportunities while having fun. Thus, the game’s design provides an endless experience for the player community they helped build.

What is Mini Royale: Nations?

Mini Royale: Nations is a community-owned skill-based shooter game with two modes to accommodate every player type. It follows a social strategy concept with clans, alliances, and social mechanics, making everything challenging yet fun. The game economy rewards players for their social behavior, enabling them to have a solid experience.

The excitement never stops with the on-chain and off-chain items available in the game. NFTs will come into play as higher-value items while off-chain serves as low-value items. The game twist allows players to convert off-chain items into on-chain NFTs at a particular period. The on-chain items include NFTs in weapon skin, character costume, land, building, building skin, accessory, tools, and equipment. On the other hand, off-chain items include weapon attachments, special ammo, and body armor, while others can be used for entering events, upgrade points, and minting purposes.

Gameplay Modes

The Mini Royale universe emphasizes fun, the biggest driver of long-term value. It firmly believes that fun core gameplay will attract people to continuously support them, which led to the application of permanent and rotating modes.

PvP Shooter

The game’s PvP sets different objectives to drive individuals to continue playing. Players are rewarded depending on the completed mission. They can achieve it by engaging in a battle royale, team deathmatch, and capture the flag.

Players are also given three options based on their competitiveness: unranked, ranked, and high-stake modes. Casual players who want to explore a lower-risk environment without any penalties for losing can choose unranked matches. The next mode is ranked, incorporating an ELO rating that may rise upon winning and decline when losing. It also provides higher rewards than unranked play. Lastly, high stake modes are the most hardcore of all. Players can wager on currencies and game items and steal from fallen competitors.

PvE Shooter

The Mini Royale: Nations has the PvE Shooter that brings in-depth and end-game variety, enabling players to find a reason to upgrade their equipment and an opportunity to earn new items by participating in events. It comprises different modes for Co-Op play, including boss raids, missions, defense, hunting, and heist.

Players can earn rewards in PvE Shooter mode from world events such as raffle tickets to win rare prizes and complete missions. Owners of NFT costumes and gun skins can join exclusive campaign content. When gamers get tired of playing, they may rest in the hangout mode, where they may show off their items and make friends with others through the available rooms.

Burn Mechanics

Companies burn items to stabilize their value and control inflation, but every team may have various reasons. In the case of Mini Royale: Nations, its burning mechanics are employed for different purposes. It includes burning collections to create items, burning copies to improve the existing item, burning skin to transform into upgrade points, and burning building blueprints to combine the Mine to City X.

On-Chain Currencies

$CHEDDAR and $ROYALE are the two on-chain currencies used in Mini Royale: Nations. The two tokens were allocated differently depending on their corresponding functions, but all reasons are for improving the game and community.

$CHEDDAR

$CHEDDAR is the in-game currency that players may earn as a reward for doing social activities and can be used for buying items in the marketplace. It is also an inflationary currency having a limitless supply, but it is subjected to adjustments depending on the in-game economy and community feedback.

Faraway does not allow the direct selling of tokens to players except for pre-sale activities. It already has defined allocations putting 94% of the supply to rewards and emissions, 4% for listings and liquidity pools, and 2% for public token sales and pre-sales.

$ROYALE

$ROYALE is the game’s governance token and has a limited supply. Players can use it to buy premium items and influence in-game decisions by staking it. The token is allocated into six parts, with rewards or emissions having the most significant percentage.

DeFi System

The DeFi system is the new future, and incorporating it into the game can be a rewarding experience for Faraway and the players. The game’s DeFi system is composed of four parts:

Staking $ROYALE

Players may lock their $ROYALE tokens in the staking dashboard to earn rewards, and there are two possible ways to do this: core and flash pools. The available staking pools have different durations and reward distributions.

Staking NFTs

Players can stake their NFTs in either of the two available options: using gun skin NFTs or flash pools. Staking gun skin NFTs is necessary to gain land control. The player who stakes the most power will receive land control and a part of the generated fees as a reward.

Lending NFTs

NFTs are assets, and owners should decide what to do with them. Thus, Mini Royale: Nation allowed the lending of NFTs. Lenders may choose to collect fees or not. The decision will solely be based on the owner alone.

$ROYALE DEX/AMM

The game plans to have a decentralized exchange for players who want to swap their tokens with each other. Players will benefit from the DEX because it can save time moving tokens outside the platform to trade.

NFT Marketplace

Mini Royale: Nations has an NFT marketplace that allows its players to buy and sell on-chain items. Players can purchase the listed item or make an offer to lower its price. Once settled, the buyers will immediately receive the item, while sellers will get the payment instantly. The marketplace is also safe because it uses the Solana blockchain for ownership verification.

Upon visiting the marketplace, players will encounter three different areas: $CHEDDAR, SOL, and Land. The $CHEDDAR marketplace is for players who want to find common, uncommon, and rare items. If players wish for higher items, then the SOL marketplace is where one should go. Lastly, the land marketplace is for players who want to buy plots and buildings.

Conclusion

Faraway took the Mini Royale: Nations to the next level by incorporating NFTs and DeFi system into the game. With this strategy, the players are introduced into another world with the touch of a classic game. Thus, the project brings a new experience with added value—a promising development for the gaming industry.
